Two Worlds

I had never believed in destiny

until it led me to you

Doubted the wishes I’d made on a cosmic entity

until they all came true

But she was the day

and he was the night

She lived for the time where the sky’s not gray

but he existed under the moonlight

Two opposite souls have met

in hope to coexist

Both once lonely as a comet

were now close enough to kiss

In each others arms they found

cities and oceans to unravel

To new galaxies they bound

searching for new roads to travel

But coincidence might have brought them together

they were on different ends of the spectrum, you see

She said, “too short was our forever”

as he replied, “maybe it was never meant to be”
